Sustainability

Belgrade Office Park (BOP) integrates energy-efficient systems and innovative
solutions. Companies that prioritize their employees and the environment, while seeking long-term savings, will find the perfect partner in our business center. Our goal is to reduce negative environmental impact and lead the way in the green transition.

Our commitment to sustainability and high environmental standards is further underscored by our BREEAM certification, which we are proudly renewing this year. We have also completed several additional reports, including the energy passport, building and facade inspection, climate risk assessment, environmental impact assessment, and more. Additionally, this year, we published our first EU Taxonomy report.

Our tenants are responsible companies that base their operations and growth on sustainable decisions, carefully selecting office spaces and environments.

BREEAM sets the standards for best practices in sustainable design and serves as a benchmark for describing the environmental, energy, and sustainability performance of buildings.

The criteria for building evaluation are divided into nine categories: energy, management, health and well-being, water, materials, waste, pollution, landscape, and ecology.

Belgrade Office Park holds this certification, which is renewed each year. BREEAM is recognized in many European countries, as well as in several countries across Africa, Asia, North America, and Australia.

The EU Taxonomy is a classification system developed by the European Union with the aim to create a common framework for sustainability in the business sector. This classification provides a framework for understanding activities and investments considered environmentally sustainable.

The goal of this report is to direct capital towards projects and business operations that contribute to achieving sustainable development goals, such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions, optimizing resources, and promoting renewable energy.

In 2024, Belgrade Office Park, in collaboration with CBRE Southeastern Europe (SEE), published its first EU Taxonomy report, demonstrating compliance with the EU’s environmental criteria.

Offices commonly produce significant waste, encompassing paper, plastic, electronics, and more. Improper waste disposal can lead to accumulation, which has harmful consequences for the environment.

In addition, clutter and waste accumulation in the workplace can negatively impact the work atmosphere and employee productivity.

For these reasons, Belgrade Office Park offers designated waste disposal areas for tenants, in line with the highest environmental standards.

We have also established a strategic partnership with Kappa Star Recycling, which handles the collection, transport, and recycling of the waste.
